Our open mic and karaoke events are coming back with some changes for the 2025-2026 season. We are combining the two events! We will continue to take performance applications from those of you that are interested in our 15-minute open mic performance sets. But we will combine that with an hour of karaoke! Events will be held on the first SATURDAY of most non-show months: August 2, October 4, January 3, March 7, and May 2.

Doors open at 6:45pm, with the first performer taking the stage at 7:00pm. We arrange the seating with two aisles to allow performers and viewers to flow in and out, eliminating the need for an intermission. Depending on the number of performers, the events will end between 9:00 and 9:30pm. Admission is $5. Snacks and beverages available by donation.

You have the talent. We have the stage. Footlight is a warm and inspiring place for our community, friends, and neighbors to come together to connect and celebrate each other’s talents. All levels of experience are welcome, and our audiences are as appreciative of bravery as they are of talent and experience. Never performed? Perfect! Come share some anxiety and take a chance! If you’re a veteran of the stage, also great. This is a Family Friendly event: children are welcome, and encouraged to perform! Be sure to fill out the performance application, linked below.

Performers will be chosen to allow a mix of new and returning performers, as well as a balance of performance styles. One week prior to the event, applications will close and applicants will be contacted via the email address provided on the application to confirm if they have been selected or not. Walk-in performers may be accommodated as space allows. Applications for each event will open after the close of the previous event.

Performances should be limited to 10-15 minutes. A keyboard, 3 microphones, Bluetooth, and a sound tech will be available. With advanced notice, we may be able to arrange for an accompanist.
