2020-2021 Theatre Season
STEEL MAGNOLIAS
STEEL MAGNOLIAS
The action is set in Truvy’s beauty salon in Chinquapin, Louisiana, where all the ladies who are “anybody” come to have their hair done. Helped by her eager new assistant, Annelle (who is not sure whether or not she is still married), the outspoken, wise-cracking Truvy dispenses shampoos and free advice to the town’s rich curmudgeon, Ouiser, (“I’m not crazy, I’ve just been in a bad mood for forty years”); an eccentric millionaire, Miss Clairee, who has a raging sweet tooth; and the local social leader, M’Lynn, whose daughter, Shelby (the prettiest girl in town), is about to marry a “good ole boy.”
JERRY'S GIRLS
JERRY'S GIRLS
Jerry Herman for nearly half a century has been providing theater audiences with some of the most unforgettable music since the heyday of Irving Berlin. This glorious musical revue is a celebration and is presented to you with the greatest hits from his musicals, such as MAME, HELLO DOLLY, LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, MACK AND MABEL, MILK AND HONEY and DEAR WORLD. You will leave the theater with a smile on your face and humming one of the delightful songs that you will hear. This family friendly musical show is the DON’T MISS THEATER EVENT OF THE SEASON!

STEEL MAGNOLIAS
Meet the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing. Two of the nuns have been secretly making wine in order to keep the convent’s doors open. However, Mother Superior believes that they are only producing grape juice from their vineyard. Enter Paul and Sally, tabloid reporters and former fiancees, disguised as a nun and a priest and ready to get a scoop on the wine-making Sisters. With the addition of a new nun, paranoia hits the convent that spies have been sent from Rome to shut the convent’s doors. Accusations, mistaken identities, romance and fast paced comedy run wild in this traditional laugh-out-loud farce.
THE SOUND OF MUSIC
THE SOUND OF MUSIC
One of the most beloved musicals of all time will finally appear on the Footlight stage. The story centers around Maria, a novice who just may not have what it takes to become a nun. The Mother Superior places her in the Von Trapp household to be the governess to the seven children. It only takes minutes until the free spirited Maria butts heads with the strict patriarch of the family, The Baron Von Trapp. We experience amusing disagreements, romance and finally wedded bliss. The music is Rogers and Hammerstein at their best with such tunes as Climb Every Mountain, I Am Sixteen Going On Seventeen and My Favorite Things. This is THE musical for all ages. A perfect solution for a family outing.

MIRACKE ON SO DIVISION ST
MIRACLE ON SOUTH DIVISION STREET by Tom Dudzick We introduce you to the Nowak family of Buffalo NY. Clara and her 3 adult children always knew they were special since the miraculous Christmas Eve in 1942 when the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to Grandpa…in his barbershop! Daughter Ruth unveils her plans to write and star in a one-woman holiday show about the family miracle so the “whole world will know!” As her plans for theatrical immortality unfold, the family’s faith is shaken when a deathbed confession causes the legend to unravel. The results are heartfelt and hilarious. Just the ticket to start off the holidays with a new Christmas show!
